Sunday April 23rd

Welland Scuba Park – Season Kick Off Dive
11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Cost: Free
Number of Divers: Unlimited
Number of Dives: 1
Notes: Please come and get back into the water for the season!
Perfect time to test your gear and practice your skills. The dive will be followed with mugs of Hot Tomato Soup and Biscuits. Plus, some Home-Made Desserts.

 


Saturday April 29th

Toronto – Scuba Swap
9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Cost: $5
Number of Divers: Unlimited
Number of Dives: 0 – Just great deals on used gear!
Notes: Make sure to get there early and line up for the best deals.

Saturday May 13th

Niagara Falls - Natasa & Chris Stag & Doe
7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Fallsview Hose Brigade

Cost: $10 – See Natasa or Chris for Tickets
Notes: This is sure to be the social event of the season!
There will be a great Buffet plus lots of prizes. Also note, if you can’t make it, you can still buy a ticket to get in on the great prizes.



Sunday May 21st

Toronto, Humber Bay – The Wreck of the Sligo & Julia B. Merrill
Meet at 9:30 a.m., Boat Departs at 10 a.m.
Cost: $70
Charter run: Rick Lymer – River Diver

Notes: Following the dive, there will be a BBQ at my house just 10 minutes away.

Meet at 11 a.m. at the coal docks in Fort Erie

Notes: Following the dive at Frenchman’s we will be having some Homemade Strawberry Shortcake.

Port Dalhousie – Tiller Wreck
Meet at 8:30 a.m., Boat Departs at 9 a.m.

Sherkston Quary – Trains and Tracks

Notes: Vis is usually still good in early June, so come out and see the trains.

 


Sunday June 25th

Penetanguishene – The Wreck of the Mapledawn, Marquette
Cost: $75
Charter run: Jody Smith – Adventure Sports
Number of Divers: 8 – Note we sold out this Charter last year! (1 Spot already booked)

Notes: Please note that the date and time have been confirmed, but the charter is not booked until we can confirm if the boat launch will be available. The First Nations closed the launch last fall when the Car Ferry broke down. Jody is confirming that it will be available again.

Saturday July 1st

Welland Scuba Park – Canada Day Club Promo Video Dive
11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Cost: Free

Notes: We will be making a new Club Promo to hopefully top “The Forbidden Shipwreck”.
Last year this turned out to be one of the best events of the season. We need everyone out, both divers and bubble watchers to help write, direct and film the epic sequel.

 


Saturday & Sunday July 15 & 16

Tobermory – Various Wrecks, Plus the Wreck of Alice G & Hike to the Grotto
Cost: $80 + HST for Charters. Shore Diving Free
Number of Divers: Unlimited
Number of Dives: As many as you want
Notes:
Charter run: Walk on Charters with Divers Den – book directly at: http://www.diversden.ca/
Saturday: Morning Charter followed by lunch on the docks and then an early afternoon shore dive at the Lighthouse. Then after dinner, a night dive on the Wreck of the Alice G.
Sunday: Morning Charter followed by a picnic lunch and then a hike to the grotto or a shore dive on the Wreck of the Alice G.

 


Saturday to Monday August 5th to 7th

Dutch Springs, PA
Meet at 2 p.m. in the park.
Cost: $40 per day to dive. Camping is $15 a day per person. Night Dives are $10.
Number of Divers: Unlimited
Number of Dives: As many as you want
Notes: The plan will be to drive down on the Saturday morning (it is 6 hours from St Catharines) and then do a dive that afternoon.
Then a group BBQ at campgrounds, followed by a night dive.
Sunday will be a 4-dive day if you are up to it. There is so much to see here.
Then either drive Home or on the Monday Morning.

Saturday & Sunday September 16th & 17th

Brockville, St Lawrence River – Various Wrecks
Meet at 12:30 p.m., Boat Departs at 1 p.m.
Cost: $95 per 2 Tank Charter
Charter run: Wayne Green – Thousand Island Pleasure Diving
Number of Divers: 8 (1 Spot already booked)
Number of Dives: 6 - 4 Boat charters and 2 Shore Dives
Notes: Drive out Saturday morning, lunch at the docks, then do the afternoon charter.
A group dinner will then be followed by a night shore Dive on the Wreck of the Rothesay.

Then on Sunday morning a second charter, followed by afternoon shore dive on the Wreck of the Wee Hawk, followed by a riverside BBQ, before driving back home late Sunday afternoon.

Gravenhurst, ON – The Wreck of the Waome

Charter run: The Scuba Shack

Notes: Will be followed by a dockside BBQ. This was our 2nd most popular dive last year!

Notes: I have no idea what a “Turkey Dive” is, but we will come up with something. But rest assured, I know what a Turkey Dinner is, so I will guarantee that part at the least.

Sandusky, Ohio - Shipwrecks and Scuba
9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Cost: Day $35 / Night $40

Number of Dives: 0 – Just a really Great Dive Show
Notes: New location at Kalahari Water Park (world’s largest indoor water park)
Last year the Hotel rate was $119 which included 4 passes to the water park, so you can get wet!!

Sunday December 24th

Welland Scuba Park – Christmas Tree Dive
11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Cost: Free
Number of Divers: Unlimited
Number of Dives: 1
Notes: Last year we had 7 divers in the water plus 7 bubble watchers along for support.
It was a great day and fun was had by all. From tobogganing into the river, to my Special “Christmas in a Cup” homemade stew, it is a not to be missed event! 



Possible Additions

There will be some river drifts added, plus a possible Kingston or Ducks Charter.

Also planning to add another training platform at the Scuba park next month and will need some help.
